Michael has over 35 years experience in business and IT holding executive roles. He served as Executive Vice-President for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region at EDS, and Group Executive for Business and Technology Solutions and Services at Westpac Banking Corporation. Michael was also Chief Information Officer of the National Australia Bank, leading all IT activities in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Britain and the US. Michael is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program and holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Paul Compton
Paul Compton is an Emeritus Professor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). His career in Artificial Intelligence commenced at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in the 1980’s, where he worked on one of the first medical expert systems to go into clinical use.
Paul’s research has focused mainly on the incremental development and maintenance of knowledge-based systems while they are in use, an approach known as Ripple Down Rules (RDR), and his research has had significant industrial impact, with a number of companies having developed services based on RDR, including IBM. In particular, RDR are widely used in medical diagnostic laboratories. Paul was also the head of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW for 12 years and has been a member of the University Council.

Lai Mei has 25 years’ experience across industries as varied as Food & Beverage, Electronics, Property Development, Lifestyle, Medical, and Health and Wellness. She has deep experience in accounting, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general management and operations, including human resources. Lai was the key project leader for an IPO with dual listing in Singapore and Australia, being for an electronics group providing high-technology turnkey solutions to the semiconductor and surface mounted technology sectors. She also spent 10 years in an Australian publicly-listed medical and health supplements group with operations across Asia and Australia, holding the role of General Manager in charge of its Singapore, China, and Indonesia business units. Lai Mei has a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants since 1997.

Hendra has over 20 years’ experience in data science, big data, business intelligence, and data warehousing. Prior to joining RDC, he was a Lead Data Scientist at KPMG and advised the firm’s clients globally in relation to data science and big data projects. Dr Hendra’s experience spans across data architecture, data science and data engineering, managing and designing end-to-end data analytics solutions within an Agile continuous delivery DevOps framework. He has worked in leading organisations including Westpac Bank, Commonwealth Bank Australia, Veda, Bupa, HCF and Vodafone. He has in-depth expertise in various domain verticals including telecommunication, banking, fraud, risk, marketing, and insurance. Hendra completed a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and has further experience as a postdoctoral researcher in machine learning.

Prior to RDC, Rae managed the largest digital identity verification platform in Australia, and delivered impactful results through process optimisation and incorporation of the latest biometrics technologies. An expert bi-lingual communicator, Rae’s a firm believer that bringing people together delivers the optimal outcome in any field. Rae holds a Bachelor of Engineering – Information Management & Information Systems from the University of Inner Mongolia, and a Master of Information and Communication Technology Advanced from the University of Wollongong.

As Technical Director during his tenure at Tencent (Beijing), Junlong was responsible for the CoolNovo browser product line. He held executive level roles for China based Tongdao Financial Group, and Beijing Sinoway Credit Co before relocating to Australia in late 2019.
